A New Chapter: Mayor of Hertford Opens Link Digital’s New Office

After months of planning and preparation, we’ve officially opened the doors to our new Link Digital offices here in Hertford. We were thrilled to have Councillor Steven Watson, Mayor of Hertford, join us on Tuesday 14^th October to cut the ribbon and mark this exciting milestone for the business.

From Bursting at the Seams to Room to Breathe

We’d outgrown our old office. What started back in 2013 as a small team with big ambitions has grown steadily over the years. We’ve been fortunate to work with some great clients, and as our team expanded, so did the need for a space that could properly accommodate everyone.

Our old office was, as Managing Director Mark Smith put it, “bursting at the seams.” So, when the opportunity came up to transform an unused warehouse into a modern, purpose-built office for up to 30 people, we grabbed it with both hands.

More Than Just Four Walls

This isn’t just about having more square footage (though that’s certainly nice). We wanted to create a workspace that reflects who we are as a company – creative, collaborative, and forward thinking.

It’s a place where ideas can flow, where collaboration happens naturally, and where our team has the space and resources to do their best work for our clients.

A Mayoral Seal of Approval

Having Mayor Watson join us for the opening made the day even more special. His words during the ceremony really resonated with us. He described Link Digital as “a great example of the kind of forward thinking, creative business that keeps our local economy strong” and noted that our expansion “is not only a success story for Link Digital, but for Hertford as a whole.”

He went on to say: “By transforming an unused warehouse into a modern, purpose-built office for up to 30 people, you are investing in local jobs, developing local talent, and showing confidence in Hertford as a great place to do business.”

We’ve been based here since day one, and we can’t imagine being anywhere else. This town has been good to us, and we’re proud to be part of its business community.

Celebrating with Our Community

The opening wasn’t just about ribbon cutting and speeches (though both were lovely). We invited local clients, business partners, and friends to join us for the celebration. It was brilliant to show people around the new space, share a few drinks and nibbles, and simply enjoy the moment together.

After all, our success is built on the relationships we’ve formed over the years. Our clients trust us with their digital presence, their marketing strategies, and their growth, and that trust means everything to us.

Looking Forward

As Mark Smith said on the day: “This move is a big step forward for Link Digital. We’ve grown steadily over the past few years… This new space gives our team a great environment to create their best work for our clients and to continue growing.”

And that’s exactly what we intend to do. We’re excited about what this new chapter brings – more space for creativity, more capacity to take on ambitious projects, and more opportunities to help businesses build their online presence through smart design, effective marketing, and tailored digital solutions.
